Junior ready to rack the bike and go for the 10km run.
Prof. Alex Busnello and Waterman(aka: me)

Alex, the coach, and Junior, the racer.
Great venue, great race and wonderful weather, I mean, a hell of weather!

The athletes raced under a 34 Celsius, 86% of humidity, windless climate. That said, I was told that the wind showed his face a bit during the 40km cycling leg.

Junior timed a 2:30h outstanding race in his 30-34 age group showing us that even it is February and it was very hard too put such effort his in ready for the 2009 season.

Due to the Olympic distance, 1,5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run, is a lot for me right now, I got in the transition area as Junior staff. It sounds really cool, however, the feeling of waiting a buddy to show after a 30 minutes swim, than helping him go for a 40km bike and waiting around a hour to once again see the guy leaving the bike, put the shoes on and off to run is quite agonizing! I wanna race!

About the elite racers? Leave it for the press, :) .

Surf report: the sea was pan-flat, waveless. Go for swimming, though.

That's it for now.

See you soon.
